Better Turf Harvester Parts
Our goal for every part we sell is to reduce your cost of owning automated turf harvesters by providing at least one of these solutions:
FireFly Equipment was started by turf farmers who saw a need for improved parts on their harvesters. One of the major needs was for stronger, longer lasting components. Our incredibly skilled engineering team designs every material and mechanism to withstand its job…for the long haul.
FireFly’s Depth Control systems are a perfect example of how our improvements give parts a longer life. We gave the actuator mount a badly needed facelift: the high strength clamp prevents damage to the actuator mount hole, yet still allows for freely pivoting movement. We also use large stainless steel pins and high-strength bearings. Ask anyone who has replaced their depth controls with FireFly systems, and you’ll hear glowing reports.
Another case in point… our Roll Up Arms. FireFly replaced mount bushings with a more rigid material. Our bushings clamp tightly on the hanger and protect the roll up hanger from wear by reducing excessive side to side movement. Our customers have found that reducing wear on the roll up also provides more consistency.
Sensors are another example of FireFly’s pioneering improvements to keep your machines running. We added high quality polyurethane jackets, stronger nuts and barrels, and found better ways to protect the wires. We make our spears with high strength, hardened steel to reduce breakage and have designed improved jam nuts to minimize stress on the threads.
We get what it means to be down. We’ve been there. We work hard to bring you parts that will last longer, so you can keep cutting.
Another area where we saw room for improvement 5 years ago was maintenance. We knew there were ways to reduce the time spent working on the machines in the shop.
One of FireFly’s signature innovations was introducing greaseless bushings to the turf industry. Not only do self-lubricating pivots have high strength for long life, but they are maintenance free. They are designed for harsh, dirty environments and provide reduced vibration, as well.
Not to mention the fact that improving durability will also reduce maintenance. With FireFly parts, you’ll spend less time replacing worn items on your machine and more time with your blade in the ground.
The more productive your harvester, the better your bottom line. FireFly sensors boast faster switching speeds, which also makes machine operation more reliable.
Sometimes it’s the simple ideas that make a difference. Sensor wrenches, a FireFly original, allow the operator to make adjustments quickly and easily without having to hunt for the right tool. They are the same width as the sensor nuts, and their short handles get you into tight places. FireFly sensor wrenches are the right tool for the job, and having a set handy makes your operator more productive. We also offer convenient tools for Deutsch connectors to help you be more efficient in your electrical maintenance.
Some harvester parts work just fine the way they were originally designed. We work diligently with suppliers and our own manufacturing processes to reduce our costs so we can pass the savings on to you. We want to be your source for all your harvester parts, and we are confident we can provide you the value you need.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is There A Demo I Can See?
There are several ways to watch FireFly’s machines in action. Check out our events calendar on our News page for field days that we will be attending. We also frequently schedule demos at current customers’ farms, so you can see a ProSlab in action in real conditions. You can also find videos of the ProSlab 155 working on our YouTube channel.
Will Your Harvester Work on My Farm?
The ProSlab turf harvesters have had great success in conditions that no one thought were workable for automated equipment. Proven performance from black dirt and muck to clay and sandy soil…from St. Augustine to Bermuda, Zoysia to Buffalo…our customers are cutting impressive pallets by the truckload. The optional ProSlab 155 HF model is built for muck and features higher flotation and extra tall pallet cutting capability. Click here to see a gallery of beautiful pallets in a wide variety of grass varieties and soil conditions. The ProSlab hasn’t met a farm it couldn’t handle.
How Fast Is Your Support Team?
We work hard to build machines that are durable and reliable, but there will be times when you’ll need us. We are strongly committed to giving you the support you need, when you need it. Our technical experts are available 24/7 to talk you through any issues that come up, and many updates and adjustments can now be done remotely. When you call FireFly, you don’t get an answering service. You talk to a knowledgable TEAM member who knows your machine. When you need someone in your fields, a member of our growing field service TEAM will give you the ongoing support you need to keep your machines running at their best. We want our customers to be happy with their investments, and we do whatever it takes to make sure they are.
